Rise Up Recovery's training utilizes the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© and Ethical Considerations curriculum. It is a 6-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Provided in a retreat like environment, the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask really good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff.
This training includes Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches which helps coaches, and anyone else working in the peer role, to understand how critical it is to be ethically responsible. Participants will understand what ethics are and why ethics are so important when performing recovery coach services, learn to stay in your lane as a recovery coach, understand the decision making process, develop guidelines for making ethical decisions, and apply the learning to your everyday work as in your peer role.

This RCA meets all the educational requirements for the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Reciprocal (CPRSR) credential(s) issued by the Minnesota Certification Board (MCB). Rise Up Recovery is an MCB (Minnesota Certification Board) approved provider of the peer recovery support curriculum.
