REDEEMING LIVES
RESTORING DIGNITY
"for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again" - Proverbs 24:16a
WHO WE ARE
RISE UP Recovery is a Recovery Community Organization serving Hastings, MN, Dakota County and surrounding areas. We currently provide Peer Recovery Support Services, recovery housing, advocacy, and community education. We believe in and value all pathways to recovery. While our fundamental values are grounded in Christianity, we value each individual's journey of healing, change, and transformation. We have a "Recovery First" value system that places the utmost value and belief in each individual's ability to achieve and maintain long-term recovery. We know because we live it every day!
While each persons recovery journey may look and feel different, we believe each person is a valuable resource and we have discovered that we are better and stronger together. Substance use can wreak havoc on our relationships with ourselves, others, and community. We believe in the healing power of connection!
We offer optional faith based Christian resources, support, and services.
What is a Recovery Community Organization?
A recovery community organization (RCO) is an independent, non-profit organization led and governed by representatives of local communities of recovery. These organizations organize recovery-focused policy advocacy activities, carry out recovery-focused community education and outreach programs, and provide peer-based recovery support services. (P-BRSS).The broadly defined recovery community - people in long-term recovery, their families, friends and allies, including recovery-focused addiction and recovery professionals - includes organizations whose members reflect religious, spiritual and secular pathways of recovery. The sole mission of an RCO is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction. Public education, policy advocacy and peer-based recovery support services are the strategies through which the mission is achieved.
