As December settles in with quiet snowfalls, warm gatherings, and familiar traditions, we are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ—God with us. The moment that changed history forever didn’t arrive with grandeur or noise, but in the stillness of a manger. It was the humble arrival of hope, wrapped in cloth and laid in a feeding trough, that would go on to redeem the world. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” — Isaiah 9:6 Here at Rise Up Recovery, this sacred truth is alive in everything we do. We have seen brokenness made whole, despair turned into joy, and ashes transformed into beauty—all because of the redemptive power of Christ. This Christmas, as we reflect on the miraculous story of Jesus’ birth, we also celebrate the many lives that have found new beginnings through the gift of recovery.
A Personal Note of Gratitude This newsletter is especially meaningful to me, as it is my last as the Executive Director of Rise Up Recovery. Serving as co-founder and director these past five years has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am humbled and deeply grateful to have been used and guided by God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and surrounded by a community that so beautifully embodies love, courage, and grace. The journey has been nothing short of life-changing. My faith has grown, my heart has expanded, and my spirit has been strengthened by each person I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside. From the beginning, Rise Up Recovery has been God’s work—and I have simply been blessed to be part of it. Our family has made the decision for me to step away from this role at the end of the year in order to create more space for family and to follow where God is now calling me next: to build and grow Lionheart Wellness & Recovery. While stepping away is bittersweet, my heart is full of peace and joyful expectation for what’s to come.
Hope for the Future Rise Up Recovery is healthy, thriving, and mission-driven. The staff, board, and leadership are deeply committed, and the organization is positioned for even greater impact in the years ahead. I look to the next chapter with excitement and confident hope, knowing that the best is yet to come. This season reminds us that God still brings light to dark places, hope to weary souls, and joy to those who mourn. May the light of Christ—the same light that broke through in Bethlehem—continue to shine through Rise Up Recovery in powerful ways. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
With Thankful Hearts To each of you—our donors, volunteers, prayer warriors, staff, and friends—thank you. Your belief in this mission has carried it forward, and your continued support will ensure its future. Please keep pressing in during this season of change, trusting that God is not done. In fact, He’s just getting started. Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart. May this season be filled with peace, reflection, and renewed hope—for you, for Rise Up Recovery, and for all who are still searching for their own new beginning. With deep love and gratitude, Tiffany Neuharth Co-Founder & Executive Director (through December 31, 2025) Rise Up Recovery Redeeming Lives; Restoring Dignity |
